Hi there,

Is it normal that a 15cm axo eats 4 rather big worms in 1 go?
I didn't feed them 2 days then they just kept staring at me and swimming in a way I know it means they want more food
Should I feed them more often? or bigger portions?

Cheers

My baby is about 4 inches long, she will eat 3 at a sitting.

They are greedy black holes! Don't feed them every time they "beg" or you will end up with a fat axie! HAHA

I just feed mine 1 good sized worm everyday

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
