Get some! Then if you get a golden keep it and give the others to friends and family so axies can take over the world!
The world would be a much nicer place. How could humans not feel better and happier being greeted by those smiles every morning?
Scott has told me I'm only allowed more axolotls if they are different to the ones we've got, or we'd just have tanks everywhere.
I tried the excuse that every axolotl is of course unique and special, and how could he not see that? But he told me I was arguing over semantics and that i knew what he meant.
Pffft.
So it'd be horrible to end up with loads of gorgeously amazing babies and have to give them away. Although I could try naming them all instantly. We all know if you name something you have to keep it, right...?

Also, our rule at reptile shows/expos is: if it bites you, you have to take it home.

Ok trick I use on Paul (granted you need access to kids for this) is to get them to point fingers at Daddy and shout "MEAN" always works
Well looks you had better wait for mine to hatch then and as promised any goldens will send to you

And on at least 3 of the 13 the gill stumps are quite visible, only my stupid camera cant quite focus enough

awwww they grow so fast Mine are quite wiggly too. started the evening o the 26th. most have little gill stumps as well... so cute they are finally looking like little axolotls :happy:
Well done re-homing so many. I pulled all mine out of the adult tank last night and I have 321 good ones and only 60ish duds

My camera is the same though
It does look like I have several different stages - there are some definate tulips that weren't there the other day, but most are skinny little wrigglers now (apart from the duds + some that are still round, but not cloudy!) Hadn't noticed any gill buds, but it's time for today's photo, so I'll go scrutinise
Don't forget to post photos Raziela - if you put some on this thread, we can compare development from the same spawning, raised in different places
Are they still all looking like good 'uns?

Lookin' good Mojo they are coming along really well, not to many duds at all which is great for a first batch.Mine are from an albino mum so they are all white but some have just started to get some colour to them. found one last night that's lookig decidedly melanoid-ish but oly time will tell. Are you're showing any signs of being different colours yet? It's hard to tell from the pics
I'll have to see if I can get a good enough shot of mine for you guys. I know my camera can get the detail but it's getting the lighting just right that's a pain
don't really want to take them out into the sun just for a photo :lol: you think you're a proud mummy now, just wait till they start hatching :rofl: ooooh exciting times!

These 2 are the same little one. This little guy, and 20 others, had been kept at a slightly higher temp (22-24C) than the others and is a bit ahead of it's siblings.
And a few of the others kept at a lower temp (18-19C) at a couple of different stages and all but one quite a bit behind the first one.
