Hey Everyone

I have been interested in Ensatina's lately. They are a very fascinating species and I would love to get some. I have been looking around and it doesn't look like there are many people keeping this species. I would love to hear from other keepers personal experiences with the species and share how they keep them, what they feed them, and if they are even a good species to keep.

Thanks to all that respond in advance!

Hey Evan.

I keep Ensatina Eschschotzi, and they are not that easy to keep. I keep mine in a plastic tub, about ten gallon? Anyway I feed him any bugs I can catch, and they are really shy, so they aren't going to eat them when you are watching. I provide tons of hides, my setup is stacked rocks with moss on top and rotting wood with moss on top. I just dump the bugs and slug eggs on in, he stays nice and healthy. Honestly though I wouldn't suggest keeping this species, they really aren't any fun in my opinion, I just kept mine because it is a unusually large one. Hope this helps! -Seth

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I was having second thoughts :p
