Eye isn't right

It has been a few weeks and his has been like this. The water parameters are fine. The temperature is fine. He has also been eating and acting the same. I tried finding out what it was on the internet, but I've had no luck.

But I am wondering, how is the water flow in your tank? Strong? It looks like it from the gills, so wondering if it's stress?

Forgive me if it's just a beginner question

I have a sponge filter in the corner and it doesn't cause very much disruption. His gills have always been like that. I just started to assume that they'll always be like that. His tail also hasn't shown that he's stressed.

Well, seems to me like he sustained some sort of injury to his eye. Axolotls don't develop cataracts, so that can't be it. Just keep an eye on him, it may clear up. As long as he's acting normal, there shouldn't really be a problem.

One of my axolotl eye buldges and doesn't affect her. I know ammonia clouds eyes but it's odd it is just one.

On a happy side - he looks like a crazy professor so cute!

Have you checked for anything sharp in the tank that he could have gotten hurt on? Do you have fish in there that can be picking on him? Just some other thoughts...

I find my new little girl chases her shadow on the glass, and bumps into the tank wall. Silly axie! :lol:

I meant to say crazy not cray earlier. The only thing I could think of that could have hurt his eye is the entrance in his pot. Him getting spooked and swimming into a wall sounds like the most likely culprit.
