Dear caudata friends,

Thank you for making this site so special. I joined only in late 2008 but am glad i stumbled upon this gem. This site has grown from strength to strength and has been fantastic support to scientific research, a resource for information and a cyber haven for like-minded caudate enthusiasts to socialise.

John together with his wonderful administration and moderator team as well as members are what makes this site grow. Please continue to keep this site the unique treasure that it is.

I am leaving this site for private reasons and will miss many dear friends. However, i am confident that there will be new generations of hobbyists who will keep this site interesting. The helpful moderators will also gladly assist with any queries.

I wish everyone the very best.

Farewell. (This will be my last post)

Regards
Rayson

Rayson - I'm sorry to see you go. Best of luck with your vet practice, PhD pursuit and fellowship training.

Cheers,
Jan

Sorry to hear you are leaving, mate. I hope you come back some time.

Dr. Tan, I hope you will not make this a permanent Farewell. Take some time off, and then please reconsider. You are an asset to this site, and will be greatly missed.

We make the decisions we feel we must. Good luck in your career and education and hopefully we will see you return with time!

You will be very missed by all, and I would like to thank you for the invaluable assistance and education that you've given to myself and everyone who visits this site.

Thank you.

Thanks for all of the good axolotl posts. You will be missed on the forum. Best of luck to you.

I want to add my best wishes too Rayson, I really hope you will be back sometime in the future but if not all the best and you will be greatly missed by many here.

Good luck to you Ray, and thanks for your time and effort.

Bye Ray
Will miss you :(:(

Good luck in everything you do ;)

You've been a huge help to so many people. I have read and learnt many things from your posts so I too sadly say goodbye :( but a huge thankyou for all the time you have given in helping people on this forum :happy:

Wow, what a huge loss. Thanks for all the advice and help, you provided MANY axies with better life.

I've only just found this (haven't been on in a while) - if you do read this Ray, you will be so missed.

Please come back one day.

Zoe x

Farewell Rayson,

I've been away and only just seen this post
I'll miss your advice and thank you so much for all you help, advice & patience
Hope you get to check in some time
Thank you so much
and good luck in the future
:(

Oh Rayson, am so sorry to hear you have left the board. I haven't been on much myself since the death of my darling axie Axelina. I just wanted to tell you, in case you sometimes read the board, that your help was enormously appreciated, and that your knowledge about axies much better than 99,9% of vets. I hope, and am sure that you will, help many axies in the future! And other animals. All the very, very best for you in the future! You will be very much missed :-(

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
