i thought the first time i heard this i was mistaken-but right in front of me now i have heard it twice. i have a group of pleuro morphs and near morphs in a tank and i can hear squeaking when the grab onto each other by mistake during a feeding frenzy. now i am used to some newts-like triturus-squeaking out of water, but outside of pleuros i have never heard it from under water...any one else experienced this?

Ha! it's not just me! I have squeaky feeders too. At first I wasn't sure but then I took a video of them feeding and captured a loud squeak on film. I don't know anywhere to post it, it's 10MB.I think mine prefer to attack each other at feeding time rather than eat - it's more fun.

tting at my computer and occassionally hear an odd grunt or squeak. It is pretty loud and almost startling. I'm pretty sure it is the Pleurodeles. I don't always hear it while feeding and would call it more of a grunt then a squeak.
