I currently have 3 babies, 3-4" long now. They are currently eating frozen blood worms. I was feeding them 1 cube twice a day last week. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I fed them 1 cube 3 times a day.
Since I work during the week, I fed them 2 cubes this morning before I left.

My question is.... am I over feeding? They scarf up the worms like they are going out of style with usually only 1-4 worms uneaten, probably because they didn't find them. lol

Also, when should I switch them to earthworms? I don't want to try and feed them "grown up food" before they're ready for it.

If their eating that much I'd continue doing what your doing for now.

I'd suggest switching them to earthworms when they get around 6-7 inches but I'd still continue feeding them blood worms. You can also feed them frozen or live brine shrimp, and frozen beef heart to switch up what they're eating so they don't get bored of it. You could also make a brine shrimp hatchery/feeder SUPER easy to do.

When they get to 5-6 inches you can even put feeder fish in the tank. But I wouldn't always suggest it cause they could be contaminated. But you could quarantine them for 30 days(with some Melafix) and the put them in the tank. Or if you want to go the extra step you can breed guppies who breed like crazy and feed their off spring to you axolotl. An even easier thing to do if you don't want t go through that work is so get ghost shrimp which are usually 25-50 cents a piece (a lot of times at petco and petsmart they try and get the amount you ask for and don't carry any diseases. My axolotl goes through them quick he loves so much.:D
