Hi all, i am a new axi lover!!! my gf and i each just got one. he is currently about 3in long.

earlier today i was diggin in my garden and i have a lot of earth worms, i have no clue what kind. but can i just feed them to him? if yes how should i prep them? thanks

If there are no fertilizers or pesticides present you are good to go. No prep needed unless the worms are too large to eat. In that case all you have to do is chop them up a bit into more manageable sizes.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
