Hello all,

We brought home my son's new Axolotls yesterday and we are all very excited!!

He got a Wild Type named Toothless and a Leucistic named Katara. Toothless is about four inches long and Katara is about three.

This morning we gave them a thawed bloodworm cube and two carnivore pellets. Neither of them were at all interested, though our Cherry Shrimp thought it was the greatest thing ever!

We sucked out all the food and some poop an hour later.

Should we offer more tonight? And if they do eat later, should we keep offering food till they stop? They're both skinny little things and I want to make sure they're getting enough

Our new babies!

You should try offering them other types of food. Mine are picky and if they're even slightly full they'll pass up certain things, but then if I offer them something they like better they'll eat as much as I offer them. Try getting bait shop worms, rinsing them, and cutting them into bite-sized pieces. You could also try blackworms. Good luck!
