I was told that since i have a waterfall style filter it might disturb the water more than my axolotl would like. How would i go about fixing this

There are lots of ways. In the end, they all amount to putting something in the way of the flow. For example, a hiding cave or a plant under the water fall could work. When I had a waterfall filter, I had a turtle float underneath it, but I had one a bit too small so it dodn't work as well.

I use a Tetra 50-75G filter in my tank, I just laid some filter floss over the filter media, pinched by the lid and letting it hang right to the end of the out take. It makes a much slower flow that doesn't disturb my axie, but I also have filter floss wrapped around the in take for safety that also slows it down.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
