Fire bellied newt enclosure

Im going to be getting a fire bellied newt soon and im just trying to make sure that i have everything it needs i have a island for it to get on, a thermomiture of course, and some fake plants in the aquarium right now i want to get some real plants like moss or somthing but i dont know what plant to get for it is there anything that they really likes around? or can i just get anything and also what plants could be harmfull to it i want somthing i dont have to plant because I dont have any substrate in the aquarium. Also if there is anything else it NEEDS please tell me. Thanks

I also have a filter and I just got a water sprite plant will that be ok?

The tank looks very nicely-furnished, but you should throw away the "Newt Bites" and get them some better food. See:

The water looks a little cloudy, is there a reason for that?

Thanks alot jennifer the water looks cloudy in that picture because of my camera its a cheap one so it doesnt take good pics its actually really clear. And about the newt bights i took the adivice from the worker at the pet store and bought those (that was stupid of me)I dont feed them to me newt i feed it chopped earth worms. And the tank is ecape proof the lid is a little homemade thing i did.
