I've seen from 25.00 to 70.00 it really depends on vendor. At an expo I can assure you it will probably be less than 30.00

Online I've seen them for 25ish. Can't remember where though sadly. Underground reptiles, lllreptiles, backwater reptiles all have them I believe. Expos will probably be better though. I just don't know if they have them by you right now.

In other words they are not available at those prices anywhere. Th

The low prices for fire salamanders disappeared when the U.S. import ban started.

No one is selling fire salamanders for $25 in the US. That is ridiculously insane.

Underground reptiles. Currently out of stock but the price says 24.99
Please let me know when they have some. If they are Salamandra fatuosa or S. bernadezi I'll take a couple dozen. Thanks

Fire salamanders are quite cheap when you buy them from Underground Reptiles, which does a ton of wild caught species. I wouldn't recommend them. John (forum owner) sells them and should have some in the spring. You can also check FaunaClassifieds for some CB fire sals, probably from $100+

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
