Hey guys..
My little guy has this big white thing on his gills that i swear appeared overnight. His tank is cleaned 20% every week, and i just changed his filter a week ago (i do so once a month). He's eating chopped night crawlers, and his tank is normally around 69 degrees. He's had the same setup for ages.. i dont know what could have gone wrong. What should I do? I'm really worried for him.

Update!!! Guys im panicking...
I gave him a salt bath in 3 liters of water with 7 tbs of dissolved sea salt. He freaked out and struggled to breathe and it was so scary. I'm afraid it hurt him buys please help. I took him out after only 5 mins and 20 seconds because he was barely responding.. i put him back in his tank and now the sands sticking to him a ton and his gills are so droopy and the feathery parts look all stuck together and matted.. hes acting so strange and jerking all over now that hes back in his tank. Theres fungus or slime or something coming off of him all over the tank. Is he ok??

Instead of salt baths, do tea baths. They're less stressful for the axolotl, from what I understand. I don't have a lot of first hand experience yet, but my breeder said that if that ever happened, to use tea first instead of salt and then see the results, to try and minimize stress.

Okay.. Thank you very much. Do you know any useful links or anything on tea baths? I've never come across anything on those. And yes, I haven't had any experience with this.. I've had him almost two years and he's had minimal issues.

check out the fourth one.
I am not sure tea bath and salt baths have the same effects.
You can always use less tbsp/ to water ratio as it might be more settling for him.
