Hello everyone.. I'm from Oklahoma. I threw a fit to get my baby dinosaur (tiger salamander, I cannot recall his scientific name). I named him Dingo. I've had him for over a year now. When he first came home, he had beautiful fanned gills. Over time those have receded and his colours have changed. He is now about 8 in. long (pretty much the same since I got him), and he is dark green with lime spots and bars. I love my dingo.

If that is gravel you are keeping him on...you need to reconsider your tank setup. Could you provide a picture of the entire enclosure?

Here is a website for proper care:

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
