Fishless cycle

Hello My new 250l tank should be with me in a week or two, I have decided to cycle the tank without my axies in. I would like to hear your experiences with this as I am undecided weather to use a couple fish, brine shrimp cubes or ammonia from shop, Having two tanks in my bedroom will be a bit cramped so I want to get it done as soon as possible.
