Floating Bum!

My axie is currently being treated with salt baths daily as she has fungus on her sides. It seems to be clearing up nicely, however her bum seems to be keep floating upwards....she was on gravel and i have changed her onto sand...could this be the problem...the gravel!!

She may have swallowed some, and it is stuck inside her, causing a gas buildup in her bum, making it rise. This also happens from constipation, and just having gas in general.

My little Moopy has been butt floating on and off for a few days; it usually happens after shes gutsed herself on food Don't worry, it'll pass. If it doesnt have a few consecutive days, you might consider putting her in a container with water that *just* covers her back. Because the water level will be low, she wont be able to 'bum float' up. Put the container in the fridge (change the fridge temp so it doesnt drop past 5 degrees celcius) and cover the container with a towel (so the fridge light doesnt freak her out). Check on her in a few hours, and the low water level combined with the cool temp will force her to pass whatever is in her out, either the way it came in or the way it's destined to leave!
