We all know that when a bunch of seagulls hang out together is called a flock.
When its a group of cows, sheep its called a herd.

Is there such a word for axolotls? Group of axolotls.

Collective nouns for animals are bizarre!

A 'parliament' of owls, a 'murder' of crows, etc.

I can't find a collective noun for axolotls, how about a 'gluttony' of axies?

To be honest, the name 'flock of seagulls' caused a shiver down my spine when I read it....... I lived through the 1980's and my musical taste is somewhat different (as is my hair-cut).

If the suggestion of a 'gluttony' of axolotls met with a smile, then can I suggest that a group of captive axies be referred to as a 'face-plant' of axololts? (given their 'questionable intelligence' and endeering qualities!)

(Can't wait to get my own hehehe)

Ooooooooh.....i thought this was going to be about 80´s music....

Edit: Oops, Ken beat me to it...by 10 hours...xDD

My very special younger brother insists I add a 'lotl of lotls'

I do rather like a 'weird' though

As axolotls are just neogenic salamanders why not call them collectively by a salamanders collective noun:

Band, Maelstrom or Congress.

I always liked the Business of ferrets one. How about a gang of axolotls? I very much so like lotl of lotls and Maelstrom of axolotls aswell. I think we should take a poll and see what everyone likes and make it an official thing!!!
