Here is an invitation to the East Texas Herpetological Society November meeting. The topic is an in depth discussion on the Texas Blind Cave Salamander and other herps in the Edwards Aquifer, a large network of underground water filled caverns. It will be held November 10, 7:30 PM at the Hermann Park Zoo.
It will be very interesting, and refreshments will be provided. Attendance is free.

I have been a member for several years. When I was a kid/teen, I was a member of the predecessor org. Are you a member also?

No. I had no idea this organization even existed. I had heard of something similar when I lived in Austin but I moved down here before I joined.

I think you may like it. There is a nice group of enthusiasts and hobbyists and professionals. ETHS puts on a public show every September, with CB herps from all over the country, as well as supplies, plus speakers.
The meetings are pretty well attended, and there is a spring field trip/camping trip annually.
We want more people involved from the amphibian side of the herp universe.
