Fridge question

Hi---

This is the first time I've had an axo in the fridge and I am worried. I put Forrest in yesterday and today his tail is all curled up (he looks bent in half) and his gills are much smaller. Is this normal? I was shocked when I put my hand in the water, but my thermometer says it's 10C/50F. Please advise.

He's stressed. This will cause gill issues and tail curling.

10C is fine. Probably slightly too warm for fridge treatment.

Are you treating for fungus?

Unfortunately, Forrest died. I did the fridge and the salt baths for two days. He seemed to be getting a bit better, so I don't know what happened. I'm sad.

Thanks, Kapo. I think I did everything right. I believe he was sick when he arrived. I just received my replacement from the company and it was DOA.
