Illness/Sickness: Furan-2 / Maroxy substitutes for sick T. marmoratus?

Hi everyone,

My T. marmoratus has become very lethargic and her skin is darkening (not shedding) so she is clearly sick. I referred to Caudata's caudate illness treatment accounts where they recommend Furan-2 and Maroxy to treat the same issue I'm observing. Furan-2 has been discontinued, so I'm wondering if there are any reliable, affordable Nitrofurazone substitutes and where others have found them. I don't know where I can find either of these medications in time to save my newt, so some help would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't appear discontinued. It may just not be carried at your normal place anymore.

api furan 2 is discontinued although you might be able if lucky to find some in pet shops but because it is highly sought after by marine owners I doubt it.
Nitrofurazone powder may be available over the counter at pharmacies.
