Future Cynops Orientalis Home [step-by-step]

I chose GE Silicone II because I had seen previous step-by-step tutorials use it. So far there haven't been any problems (tank has been running since July). Perhaps someone else can chime in as to whether or not GE Silicone I can be used.
 
The GE Silicone II is mold and mildew resistant due to a bioseal. The GE Silicone I does not say it is mold and mildew resistant on the tube.
 
haha you make me want to try this but I know mine wouldn't turn out good and it would look like a pile of dump. Yours turned out so great though. Good job

Hey man, I've been watching this thread for a while, and you've really inspired me to start a newt tank - gonna buy GS and silicon tommorow. But I've got a question - how do you keep the tank cool?
