Gel Food

I use earth worms as the main diet for my axie but sometimes I use turtle pellets to help cut back on the cost of worms and pellets are easier to keep. So, my question is, is it ok if I turn some of the turtle pellets into gel food? I found a recipe for gel food for fish but I was wondering if it would be ok for my axie.

I'm not sure if the turtle pellets are a suitable diet for an axolotl or not, but besides that what is the benefit to making it into a gel? Sounds like it would make the water gross pretty easily.

They are easier to keep than worms and they are a little cheaper, they are also meant for salamanders as well as turtles. I don't think they will make the water dirty as long as I don't leave them in the tank, I was just wondering if the gelatin in them would be bad for him.
