So, this has a little to do with Axolotls.
I got home from work last night, to see my Pearl Cichlids laying eggs! Yay! (Not) I've been having a hard time getting rid of their offspring, as they seem to be very prolific. No local fish stores within 2 hours of me are interested in them, unfortunately.
So, I sigh, and walk back tot he bedroom to go change out of my work clothes, settle down a bit, check facebook and email, etc...
Come back out in time to see Spot... my pleco (who has never messed with any of their spawns before) swipe the eggs right up and run mom and dad off to the other side of the tank.
Kind of glad for nature taking it's course, but feed bad a little as well.
My thought is.... could I possibly feed their offspring to my Axolotls? They are Geophagus Brazilensis Cichlids, Pearl Cichlids, from South America, so do get rather large full grown. But like usual, they start out as little wrigglers from eggs and grow.
So, could I feed them to the Axies if I find myself with more? I have had the parents for over a year now, so I know they are disease free.
