Hi, this site is new to me. Are any axolotl strains transparent during fetal development? Could Green Flourescent Protein be visualized in vivo during fetal development like in zebrafish?
 
Welcome, Klaus. I removed your other post from the Discussion section, as it was a duplicate of this one.

I believe that albino and leukistic axolotls are semi-transparent during early larval development. By "fetal" do you mean inside the egg? If you want to use axolotls for this kind of experiment, you should contact the IU axolotl colony: http://www.indiana.edu/~axolotl/
