getting Japanese fire belly netws to eat live food help

i was wondering what would be a good starter food for my newts to eat i have been feeding them frozen blood worms but want to give them lives foods to make them healthier well they eat ghost shrimp or what will they eat thanks alot everyone and i am new here

Earthworms are a superb complete food. And they are bound to love them.
Since variety is the key for good nutrition, you can also try waxworms, slugs, crickets, and even daphnia, gammarus, or very randomly(never abusing) small fish.
If you complete this with frozen bloodworms or live blackworms(even pellets), your newts will be very happy.

thank you very much i will try that also i heard keeping the water very cool for them also helps them to and is there any certain times i should feed them like at night or durning the day or anything i love my newts i just want them to have different foods and io think they should have live food also like in the wild u know and do u think the can eat brine shrimp also the frozen kind
