It's been years since I've posted but wanted dome advice. I have a 10 year old leucistic axolotl that seems ti have been losing his Gill filaments over the past year.

Any suggestions on how to help him? The water parameters are ok at the moment but im not sure if a change in food made him poorly

Any advice is much appreciated

If he's 10 years or older and the water parameters are suitable living conditions for the animal, then the gill recession could very likely be a result of his aging and getting up there in years.

Thanks for the reply. That's a shame. He had beautiful gills now he looks a shell of hus former self.
