Back story I got him ( not for sure a him cause he's so small ) this way.
So I've had this 3.5 inch approx axolotl less than a week. He eats ( Well) , he poops ( they huge) , he's tubed with a sponge filter which he climbs all over. So I know he's not 'sick' - he's tubed mostly so I can keep a close eye on him because he came from not ideal conditions and he's a wee fella . He's clearly Gill nipped - I donno when and his gills look better everyday since I got him
- but can I be doing more than water changes and keeping him at 67/68.
I would like him to make the most recovery of them that is possible. I've read conflicting things on gill regeration - but because he is a baby he would also have better odds? His tail is clearly nipped in the past and in the last stages of regeration. We got all the fingers and toes tho
. Any suggestions
Also white spots on his nose - not cottony or bothering him - just a weird marking for a wild ?
