Gills hurt!

I have a juvinile axolotl that appears to have one side of his gills bitten off. Is this a common injury when they are put together? and also is there anything specific i should do during his healing process? Will this kill him? Really worried!

Nipping can be common typically if it's over crowded or not fed enough. How much, how often and what are you feeding them?

It will grow back on it's own given the right water parameters and temperature. Keep an eye out for fungus.
