gills in a bad way

Hi guys, under miss informed info, from the aquatic store where i bought my axie, i purchesd him/her with some goldfish, (as you all know). They have eaten hill gills , so i have removed them from the tank (once informe by you guys), but they are now really short and was woundering how long it will take for them to grow back?

I feel so terrible as he depends on me for everything, and due to me he was harmed , just hope he gets his gill back. By the way i finnaly named him Yu-Ghi as in Yu-Ghi-Oh as his two lower gills bend downards tlike Yu-Ghi-Ohs dids in the artoon lol , Thus why i feel so bad about his gills as they are my Favorite bit about him/her

They will take a while, it depends on the axie really, anywhere from weeks to months.

As long as the goldfish are gone, and you keep him cool, clean, and well-fed, they should grow back just fine. But it will take time.

One of my juveniles ( about the same size as your are) received a vicious gill trim a couple of months ago, but now they have grown back...just a little crooked.

thats kwl, i love him for his crooked gills so a few more bends will make me happy lol
