I came home today to find 3 nats fly out of my tiger sal enclosure does anyone know why this is, is it possible that they are present because of the eco earth?

Gnats can appear pretty much in any humid organic substrate, so yes. No thing to worry about, though...

First thing is I wouldn't list my address as New Jersey and be posting about my tiger salamander. They are not legal in Jersey. You should google subterfuge and use it.

Gnats are not uncommon. If it is a fungus gnat some isopods in the tank might help route them out.

Thanx for the information.
