Hello!
I've been raising some axolotl larvae the past couple of months and I have a handful left. I was planning to sell them by the end of this month but unfortunately the buyer dropped out.
Trouble is, I'm going away at the end of June for 3 weeks and now I have no idea what I should do about the babies when I'm gone.

I have some trusted friends who I am considering leaving them with, however I am not sure if they have the space or time to be hatching the BBS.
Is there any easier method of feeding the larvae? I've heard people mention the Liquifry, but there seems to be controversy around using it for axies.

They are about 4 cm at the moment and their back legs are just beginning to grow.
Any advice would be great! Thanks.

They should be happy with bloodworm by now, you may have enough time to wean them off the brineshrimp and get them eating only bloodworm :) It would be a lot easier just defrosting a couple of cubes for dinner.

Wow, thanks very much for the tip!
I honestly thought I would have to wait a bit longer until they would take the frozen food, but I put in tiny bloodworms with tweezers and they happily snapped them up.
:DI'm so relived, the solution was very simple!
Thanks again, this really helped me :)

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
