Gravel - The Revenge!

After nearly a year with a large stones/sand substrate, our male wild-type has just passed two small (5mm X 3mm X 3mm) pieces of gravel from his original tank!

That possibly explains his occasional tendency to float and general sluggishness of late...

My male axi passed 4 fluro orange stones about 4 months after i got him, each a few days appart. I only have natural stones and so did the pet shop! No idea where it came from??? Maybe the place the pet shop got him from???

Yeah me 2. I had mine for a couple of months and had some strange colour gravel appear.

how big of a rock do you think can be passed by a medium sized axie?? im pretty sure catherine has a rock in her belly a bit under a cm cubed.yikes!! it has been worrying me lately

Sometimes they can sit in them for years so ive heard and they will pass them when the time is right.
