Hello! I have been a user for a while now and never realised to introduce myself, first, you can call me kat. I own 1 aquatic salamander called an axolotl. His name is mango, and so cute! Contact me if there is anything you need about axolotls, i know almost everything (joke)!

Greetings! What's your setup like? Looking to make a larger one myself.
 
20gal with sponges and hides, led lighting, etc. Thats for mango. 35gal and led lights for sponge filter for my melanoid axolotl, ghost.

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
