Hi. My name is Brad and I am newly retired. I have a young room mate whom I provide a safe, supportive, secure home to, and who faces numerous physical, emotional and mental health issues.
Recently, she asked me if she could get an axolotl and after taking some time to learn about keeping and caring for one (as this involves a commitment from me to ensure the axolotl has a good home and is properly cared for until I can teach her the importance of proper care), I agreed (translation: I will be the primary caregiver for our axolotl for the forseeable future).

Sounds like a wonderful thing you are doing, and axolotls are incredible pets. Wondering if you’ve already purchased your little water puppy, or are you just getting yourself set up and ready now?
(I have MANY beautiful juvenile axolotls that are needing a good home, and I won’t charge what the pet stores do)
