Hello all,
It's been great fun reading the many informative posts on Caudata.org today; glad to join your group. I've kept two Axos for the past three years, a wild type male and an albino female. They spawned last spring, which thrilled me and my high school biology students. We raised the offspring, then adopted them out to students and friends.
I just posted a picture of the juvenile I kept for my home. My other classroom pets include Xenopus frogs (3 are over 10 years old) and Degus. I'll post some pictures of my adult Axos soon. My male is about 10" long and VERY stout built. He's a real character.
Thanks,
Zim
