Hello everyone, this will be my first post on the forums so let me start by thanking all of you folks for such rich information. I liked reading the threads in these forums so much I decided to join! (this is starting to sound like a hair club for men commercial...)

I am a father of a 4 year old who has had his interest in amphibians rekindled by the wonderment in my little son's eyes.

I used to keep frogs of all sort, ringneck snakes (as well as various other reptiles) and both marbled and spotted salamanders as a kid. Redbacks were so common we didn't even catch them(that's saying a lot when you're a child).

I am hoping to be able to both share and continue to be enlightened by the community.

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you on the boards.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
