My mum is a biology teach which is how i first found out about axolotls; years later i inherited a tank off of a university student who couldn't look after the fish that were in it. The fish in my mums tank at her school died and one thing led to another

I got Terrance (female, first picture) in October and Clarence (unclear of sex yet, second picture) a couple of weeks ago and i love them dearly
i hope to learn many things from you guys in the future as well

It's hard to get a decent picture because you can't get far enough away in my room It's a five foot by 18 inches^2 going to get some more axies soon i hope :happy:

That's a fantastic tank, and all running off a single sponge filter?! Does that manage to keep the water clean? And how often does it need to be cleaned? Having just invested in a £70 canister filter, I'd love to know if even the large tanks can be managed by the more affordable sponge filters.
