Hello everyone, just registered and thought I would introduce myself.....Name is Lorraine and we have quite a variety of critters:

8 juvenile axolotls I raised from eggs, they are incredibly cute!
8 fire bellied toads (frogs)
1 ball python
2 bearded dragons
4 leopard geckos
African cichlids
Discus

I think I need to stop buying critters for a while, they are taking over the house!

As this is the first time we have had axies I knew we would have some questions at some point, and you guys seem to be the best source of info and help. Look forward to talking with all of you!

Welcome Lorraine! I laughed when I read that your house is no longer yours! That's probably the case for most people here... :)

True for me as well:
7 finches with 4 babies in nest
7 axies
2 other aquariums (tropical)
2 bearded dragons
1 leopard gecko
1 corn snake
1 ferret
1 dog
1 husband
3 children

Well, I still have all 8 axies. I figured I would post a couple pics of them which is hard not too when they are so darned cute......

I managed to get them all out and into a tub for picture-taking, they were not impressed. The biggest ones are 7" long from nose to tail.

Let me know if they look like they are a healthy weight as these are my first and I will be needing to sell a few, want to make sure they are not too fat or skinny. I think their bellies are cute and fat but I am obviously no expert......

Hello, it's nice to have you on this forum!

And I also have a pet "infestation" hahaha

We have 5 dogs, 1 skunk, 3 ferrets, 18 cats, 1 axolotl, two other aquariums, and I did have 8 turtles for a while, but they all left for hibernation! I miss them ): Also I have 3 gfp golden axolotls coming my way within the next week :)

I think your axolotls look great! Maybe a little on the chubby side, but others would probably think they're the perfect size. I'm better at indicating animals that are too skinny :p Sometimes I'm in denial of my pets and other people's pets being overweight! Good luck to you with all of your pets and we hope to help with your questions anytime :)
