I have LED plant lighting on my 29 gallon setup. I've got a good amount of live plants and water temp is about 70F. Lights are on for about 9 hrs a day and I've got 5 red cherry to keep waste in there to feed plants. I do 25% water changes once a week and everything reads normal chemistry wise. But more and more hair algae is appearing on the sides. Suggestions?

Japonica shrimp will eat hair algae and are usually quick enough to avoid becoming lunch. I have them in all my set ups as well as Cherries.

The reply by Lerstch must have been awaiting approval when I posted, but Amano and Japonica shrimp are one and the same. :)
