I recently went on vacation and had someone watch over my cat and fish, when I came back half of his gills are gone. Not sure what to do, I’ve been doing water changes daily and have been trying to get him to eat but he is clearly not happy. Any help would be great I don’t know what to do or what’s happening.
Looks like he may have some ammonia burns as well. Doing some water changes will help with that and putting him in the fridge for a bit will help him feel better and jumpstart his healing. You could also add an Indian almond leaf to his tank. They have antibacterial properties and can help soothe an axie's skin. I wish you the best of luck!
