Hello All
My hubby and I live in the Dordogne in France in a wonderful isolated spot on the side of a wooded valley. Since we came to live here four years ago I have discovered marbled newts, fire salamanders, frogs, and some beautiful toads. This year we are raising some tadpoles, and possibly three newts (but that's another thread) but other than that we don't keep any 'pets'. We also have an enormous number of lizards around the house which I just love. We are retired and have many hobbies which include microlighting and motorcycling. I also write, and mess around with photography. I don't know much about amphibians, just that the ones I have encountered are fascinating and quite beautiful - especially the marbled newts I discovered last year, and the big toads that amble around the house in the dusk. Nature is marvellous. I look forward to learning more from the experts!
