Hey guys!

My name is Connie I'm an owner of two extremely cute juvenile axolotls and I've joined these forums to gain more insight into proper care for young axolotls and to hopefully find a golden axolotl to join my melanoid and albino ^^.
I look forward to reading all of your great posts! :ufo:

Hi Connie and welcome to the forum.

Here are some links with information that may be helpful

I have found that there are a lot of very experienced keepers and breeders on this site who are more than happy to share their knowledge and experience with the rest of us. It's a great place.

I'd love to see some pictures of your cuties.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
