I've been around and reading off and on for almost 2 years but haven't said hello so now I'm saying it. "Hello" and also "Thank you" to every one that has help me out so many times but didn't know it. I am giving the axolotl another go. Over ten years ago I purchased what I thought was an axolotls but turned out to be a tiger salamander that morphed after 3-4 months. She was a great pet for many years but I'm now ready to try the hole axolotl thing again.
I have a 35 g fish tank that is in my daughters room that all of the fish have grown to big for and are now in the 80 g tank. Now with a little cleaning, adjustments and reinforcing I think I'm set up for my axolotls that just arrived from cortes (again kudos for being generous and getting some donations). I have undergravel filter with gravel then stones a large hide rock and some open space. Not fancy but clean and simple.
Well wish me luck
