Hello all from BC, Canada! Came here to learn a few things about keeping newts. Grew up in SK caring for various species of fish, fire belly toads, bullfrogs, turtles, and a few other herps, so keeping aquatic cold-blooded animals is easy for me.
I just came to learn a few things about newt care, all I know about newts is to keep them cool and clean. In particular, I'd like to learn about nutrition, tank setups, breeding & rearing, etc. and learn about alpine newts. I'm trying to find some in Canada, but its tough! I know they are a harder species to keep, so just want to gather as much information about them as I can. They are just so beautiful! Hoping to find Japanese Fire bellies if I can't find any alpines though. I also intend to breed any newts I purchase.
