I am new to caudata I have an axolotl and some dwarf aquatic frogs and have kept of amphibians in the past. I joined here in hopes of finding more people to share my experiences and herps with. I would also like to get more axolotls to breed one day but i have found it very hard to find any breeders here in canada to get them from.
have a good one guys.

It seems weird to me that Canada is such a dead-zone for salamanders. There are plenty of people that are breeding axolotls (especially), they're just not making their way around the country.

Best of luck!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
