Hello everyone!:smile:
I am new here, A couple of weeks ago I was out walking with a friend and we came across this poor little dried up creature. I had no idea what he was ( a mutated frog perhaps) so we poured spring water on him for about 5-10 mins, scooped him up and brought him home.
when we got home I put him into a small critter cage with paper towel soaked in spring water and went on-line to find out what he was and what I could do for him.
Turns out he is a 5 1/2 inch Barred Tiger Salamander, He is alive and well and eats like a pig!
He now lives in a 10 gallon glass tank lines with plantation soil and has a shallow container with rocks in the bottom so he can get in and out, and a couple hidding spots( although he never hides?
)
Any advice you may have for someone housing a salamander that would be great, also I would like to know your thoughts about letting him go or if I should keep him.
