Hi all,
I am new to this forum and to Connecticut, and traditionally, my favorite pets/animals have been amphibians.
For those who have lived in CT longer than I have and/or are more versed with CT law, I was wondering if I would be allowed to order amphibians (especially newts, salamanders, and treefrogs - as these are my favorites) via shipping from outside of the state (whether it is via interstate or international) without a permit. If I do need a permit, does anyone have any idea about how to get one? It seems like DEEP does not offer them for pet ownership…
I was also wondering if it would be permitted to buy, sell, and/or adopt pets within Connecticut without a permit, or if one is required.
If you could please let me know, I would really appreciate it. CT law has been extremely confusing to me. Thank you!
