Hello all! I've kept reptiles almost my whole life, but now my childhood snakes are almost all gone after 30 years. I've always been fascinated with amphibians, so I'm looking to research into getting some. I'm particularly interested in salamanders of the Ambystoma genus, frogs and toads that will sing like Peepers and Chorus, and Eastern Newts. I look forward to reading everyone's tips and information!

Welcome! Do your research first. The singing frogs can loud in the middle of the night. There is a swap in Pasadena TX end of month. I have never been. I have raised some frogs, newts and axolotls.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm raising tadpoles found in my neighbors' pools and fountains, most likely Hyla cinerea and Bufo nebulifer.

What's the swap? I'm attending the herp convention at NRG on the 31st, and I know of a herp convention in Pasadena in November, but I'd like to learn about one this month!
