Hello, I am very interested in all reptiles and amphibians but mainly those of New England, especially Spotted salamanders (ambystoma maculatum). I have been finding and keeping extensive records from the field for many years. I look forward to sharing and learning a lot from the community here. I have kept many reptiles and amphibians over the years and I currently keep Eastern Spotted newts.

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
