Good afternoon guys. so happy I found this site. My name is Kate and I live in Surrey but more closer to London.
I have kept a couple of axolotls before and have just got a new one. I must say I do find them beautiful.
I have four daughters and they have all become transfixed with the new addition which they have named "toothless" from how to train your Dragon.
I look forward to getting to know some of you and look forward to reading posts and increasing my knowledge and understandings.

People here remarked how much Toothless looked like an axolotl! Welcome to the forum!

We look forward to seeing lots of pics of your lotl :) love seeing healthy happy axolotls!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
